State Parks

State parks are excellent venues for fun and excitement. During holidays, they form the ideal venue to have the first-hand knowledge and experience of nature. The children also love to see the animals in the wild. You would find a lot of state parks in the United Sates of America.
The state parks are a stretch of land that has ample resources of flora and fauna. It is protected in order to promote their growth. Establishment of such parks are done both for the recreational as well as preservation reasons. Some of the state parks have cultural reasons for its conservation. Hence, they are under the administration of the government agencies.
The state parks provide the excitement and thrill at a cheap rate. The fees charged for visiting most of the state parks are not exorbitant. You also do not need an elaborate planning to visit them, unless you are the mood to camp there. If the park is nearby, you can drive there with your family, carry some packed lunch and return in the evening after having the best of the times, under the natural beauty of the state park. There are facilities for camping in many of the state parks. Small cabins are available for hiring to spend the night. Often, you would find the state parks covering a stretch of river or lake to protect the water species. If that is so, you can enjoy swimming, boating, picnicking and fishing in the water.
Some of the state parks are also located by the sea-beach. In such cases, unlike other beaches that are by the side of cities, such beaches are secluded and hence, provide opportunities and freedom to explore the nature. The expanding horizons, where the sea reaches out to the sky and the radiant rays of the sun dazzling off the sand dunes in the vast expanse, forms the most bewitching experience for tourists.
It is the inborn quality of man to interact with nature. Be it the forest, mountain, river or sea – all have a mesmerizing quality about them that attract him. This has been more so in the stressful life that everybody has to lead. Hence, a visit to the state park does wonders both to the body and soul.
