Kid's Birthday Party Games

The great kid’s birthday party can’t be that great without funny and exciting games. After your young guests have delighted themselves with the tasty snacks and wonderful cakes you can involve them into the amusing entertainments, they might be some traditional games or some renovated and themed variants as well. Here are some ideas that will surely come in handy at kid’s birthday party.

Play the game “Guess the Celebrity”

You will need some 13"x5" card for each guest coming to the party. Write the name of some famous person or character on each card. Make sure the names you write are easily recognizable to the certain age group. For instance, if you are planning to host a 5-year-old’s party, you can take such celebrities: Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, Elmo or other famous cartoons’ characters. If you are going to have the 10-year-old’s party, then Joe Jonas, Harry Potter or Hannah Montana might be appropriate. Upon their arrival to the party you will need to tape one of the cards to back of each guest.

Throughout the event they are to figure out which famous character or celebrity they are by asking others simple yes-or-no questions. For example they can ask “Am I a male movie star?”, “Am I a dancer?”, “Do I have a magic stick?” etc. As soon as the guests correctly identify themselves, you can award them with some prize.

Seat your guests on the floor in a circle. Ask the birthday boy or girl to think up some goofy line, for example: "Pink cows sit in the cafe eating flowers and making strawberry-flavored milk." Then he or she is to whisper this line in the ear of his/her neighbor, and he is to whisper it forward until everyone in the circle has heard the original phrase (or some its variation).
