Hollywood – the young and a small town in Florida is known to the whole world as lovely tourist destination. The year 1925 is considered the birth of Hollywood. It was founded by Joseph Wesley Young (a native of Washington), who came to the place of the future of the city in 1920. Joseph Young wanted to create a «city for everyone - from the rich man at the top of the industrial and social ladder to the very modest plodder». In 1975, in honor of the 50 anniversary of Hollywood, the city was given the nickname the «Diamond of the Gold Coast».
