Patriotism

Americans are great patriots of their country. It is unlikely that this is debatable if you have seen at least one American movie. But American patriotism is sometimes beyond the scope and looks like a nation-aggrandizement and arrogance towards other nations of the world. 65% of those surveyed service Gallup in June 2002 stated that they were "incredibly proud" to be Americans - in January 2001, the same option was chosen by 55% of respondents. Most patriots among the U.S. Are residents aged 50 to 64 years - 94% of them are "incredibly" or "very proud" to be citizens of the United States. Young people age 18-29 consider themselves patriots as well (85%) July 4 is Independence Day in the United States. 83% of Americans interviewed by television station CNN, the newspaper «USA Today» and service «Gallup», are planning to put up the American flag in a window or in front of their house for the holiday.

Nine out of ten Americans experience a sense of pride when they hear their national anthem. The most popular symbols of the U.S. were (in descending order of popularity): the American flag, the Statue of Liberty, National Anthem, white-haired eagle (his image is widely used in the formal symbolism, particularly in the United States coat of arms), the White House and the song "God Bless America". This data was derived from a study conducted by the sociological "Harris Interactive".

Also, the study "Narris Interactive", held in July 2002 showed that 84% of U.S. Residents are satisfied with the quality of their lives. In 2001, the same answer was given by 90% of respondents. 56% of Americans believe that their future financial situation will be good. Compared with 2001, the number of optimists fell by 11%.
